You must be in Florida. We have the same exact floor and sliding door 😂. Our house was built in 1998.
It must be the vintage. I’m in Canada and my house was built in 1996. First thing I said was, hey, my floors! 😂
Also, blow that out with air. No dirt. Easy glide with a good seal.

The wheels are meant to rotate. Spraying the bottom track means they will now slide which causes flat spots and even more issues. You seriously run a door maintenance company and do this??
As long as the wheels are working properly the only thing that will create drag on the door is the weather stripping. Using Alumaslick will not only help with lubricating important components, it dries after about 15 minutes leaving a very smooth slick surface, it also helps to prevent corrosion and oxidation in the aluminum. This product nor any other will fix bad bearings and wheels. Sliding glass doors should ROLL smoothly not DRAG or SLIDE. I don’t recommend wd-40 due to it is a penetrating oil, it will stay wet attracting dust and dirt and will wash grease from the bearings in the wheels causing more harm to the bearings than good.
The squeaks on my patio door come from the vertical weather stripping .what the fix?
Hi! I think I have the same balcony doors. My net though, is stuck on the track. Would you recommend a lubricant spray for it or WD-40 for it? Thank you for your advance!
Why lube the track? That will cause dirt to collect. You need to take the door off and lube the rollers. This is just a Mickey mouse fix. The rollers are supposed to roll on the track, not glide on the track so the lube does nothing but collect dirt on the track and will just cause the door to work poorly in a month or two.
There is weather stripping not at the top and bottom of sliding glass doors that need lubricated. Assuming there are no problems with the wheels, this would be considered regular maintenance. If the wheels need lubricated to make them roll it’s time for them to be replaced.
@@andyscott6938 weatherstripping shouldn't need lube and it only attracts dirt which will eventually cause it to get worse.
This stuff dries in about 15 minutes. Its not going to attract dirt like wd40 would.

Thank you! You just saved me $1,000 bucks or more. Door was sticking so bad that I was sure it needed to be replaced. Found the stuff at Lowes, it took all of 2 minutes and the door is sliding great!

why not use WD40 ?
Because it's not designed as a lubricant.
FYI........WD40 is NOT a lubricant. This flies in the face of a common misconception about WD40. It was developed as a mold release to be used in metal casting work and in foundries. In practice, it acts like a lubricant because it flushes any foreign debris which has accumulated. Silicone spray lubricant is a real lubricant because it will provide long-term lubricating properties when needed for light duty.
WD-40 Specialist - Dry Lube works great. "Lubricates and provides superior long-lasting corrosion protection with no oily residue. It dries quickly. Reduces wear on blades and bits, door and window tracks, slides, conveyor belts, rollers" etc.
